Let's move on to more pressing shit: MASK GIRL. Girrrrllllll...What the actual fuck did I just watch? If you have watched this, then I am sure that my feelings are shared.

I mean, really? I admit that I have not watched a K-drama in a minute. I kinda think that I was a little toasted out (not burnt out, just a little well done around the edges). So to get back into the thick of it with this show... maybe my decision making should have been questioned. Fucking trailer indicated nothing of the fuckery beheld in this hell scape of a show.

First of all, it was not a waste of time. It keeps you engaged and clawing at your pearls. But, er, umm... it just kept taking turns that were a bit much. So much. Too much?

Basically, a young woman who believes her face would make a child have nightmares for life, decides to play to her better features in curated online rooms - while wearing a weird ass mask . This is set around 2008...before Only Fans. Her pervy ass online ooglers would gift her money to see her prance around a cheap glam decorated room. All while wearing an assortment of wigs, showy clothes, and lip-synching to pop tunes. Not to be missed is the super coquettish voice and body language that almost saw me toss my dinner.

By day, Mask Girl is an average office worker with a lackluster wardrobe, no friends, and little to no contact with family. At this point the stage is set for...what exactly? This is my point. Even with her punching a keyboard by day and gyrating like supercharged fuck toy by night, you don't get a sense that things are going to go off a cliff. Well they do, and they keep going. REALLY GOING.

Mask Girl is on Netflix, new in 2023. I thought after watching the trailer "meh...why not? Looks kinds light."

Not light. At all. Lots of every kinda bad shit. Let's go down the list:

Rape

Poverty

Murder

Dismemberment

Creepy online perves

Devious plots against children

Prison

Shanking in said prison

I can go on and on cause the level of "why, just why?!" is off the charts with this show. I was really glad that it was only 7 episodes. I couldn't take any more than that. But, that's just me. Again, I am coming out of a cooling off period, so the shock of this show was sharp. Then again again, I think it really was just seriously a fucked up plot.

Writers these days. Shit. :-)
