Alien Lust? or Just finished : "My Love From the Star" on VIKI

I hope that you have already read the post about the cat drama ( Meow – The Secret Boy)? So that was cat/man/cat romance. This one right here is on a whole other level. Ready yourself for alien /human romance.

Outer fucking space alien meets human drama queen. And he cannot exchange bodily fluids due to risk of cold/flu like symptoms or possible death.

Well shit. There is it. It's the thing that aliens fear most. Hot ass human, but he can't get it. Hands down, it is the most important thing about this show. A smooch will get you fever, chills, falling the fuck out, dry & cracked ass lips. Just. Why?

Ok! Moving on (if you can). Overall, it's a likeable show. I mean, science fiction, time stoppage, teleporting, great fashion and interior design... what's not to like?!

Except, there is something to not like.

Written to be under the umbrella of "protecting her" there is a fuckload of 밀당 (mildang, push & pull). You know what this bullshit is if you have ever been in a relationship. It is especially rife in relationships where one person is a total wad of fuckery. Game players.

However, haven't we all done the shit. "Well, they didn't call me, so I'm not calling them first!" or "I'm gonna act like I don't even see these dishes piling up... it's waaaayyyy past their turn!" Even so, on the drama, it is downright CRUEL! He says some seriously hateful shit to her in hopes of keeping her safe by pushing her away. I think that the writers may all have secret dungeons where they have shit-talking and beating sessions to shame people into dressing better. Watch the show, you'll see what I mean.

You already know that my brain goes to some weird ass places. You fucking judge me, and I will toast your face!

Oh, and another thing - product placement. The app LINE was featured heavily in this show. LINE is cool by the way, but if you have peeps or pals in Korea, you'll wanna get KakaoTalk).

That's all I got on this weird ass drama. It's worth a watch. It took several episodes to find its stride, but after that, it was decent. And really made me want to have superpowers.
